Privacy policy
Memory Stamp is operated by Clicking Awesome ("Memory Stamp," "we," "us"). Memory Stamp helps families keep their most important memories. We know that what you share with us, especially photos and stories of people you love, is personal. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- What you tell us in forms: your name, email, phone number, ZIP code and anything you write when you join the waitlist, apply to be a Memory Keeper, request a Memory Box quote or request a family fund.
- Your account: if you sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive your name, email address and profile photo from that service. We never receive your Google or Facebook password.
- Memories you add: photos, videos, voice recordings, stories, links and notes you or your family add to a stamp page, and the physical items you send us in a Memory Box.
- Payments and gifts: when you buy something or give to a fund, our payment processor, Stripe, collects your card details. We see the amount, what it was for, and your name and email, but not your full card number.
- Shipping details: your address when we ship a Memory Box, a keepsake or your originals.
- Basic technical data: like any website, our hosting provider records standard information such as IP address and browser type to keep the site running and secure.
How we use it
- To build and host your stamp pages, keepsakes and tribute videos.
- To digitize, restore and, if you choose, store the items in your Memory Box.
- To process orders, subscriptions and gifts, and to pay family funds to verified organizers.
- To reply to you, send receipts and let you know when early access opens.
- To keep Memory Stamp safe and to prevent fraud and abuse.
We do not sell your personal information, and we don't use your family's photos to advertise to you or to train public AI models.
AI-recreated content
Some features, like animated photos and tribute videos, use AI tools to create new images or video from photos you provide. We only make these at your request, we label them as AI-recreated, and they're shared only when the page owner chooses. Photos you provide for these features may be processed by our technology providers solely to create what you asked for.
Who can see your memories
You choose who can see each stamp page: only you, people with the link, invited family, or the public. Anyone you share a page with can view, and depending on your settings, add to it. Please only share photos and stories you have the right to share, and be thoughtful about pages for children and other living people.
Who we share information with
We share information only with services that help us run Memory Stamp, and only as much as they need:
- Netlify hosts the website and receives form submissions.
- Stripe processes payments and gifts.
- Supabase stores accounts and stamp pages, and handles sign-in with Google or Facebook.
- Print and shipping partners receive the image and address needed to make and send what you ordered.
- AI and video providers process photos to create the tributes you request.
- Memory Keepers you book receive what they need to help you, such as your contact details and the items you ask them to scan or record.
We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, or as part of a merger or sale of the business, in which case this policy will continue to protect it.
Pages may also embed content from other services, such as YouTube videos and Google Fonts, which have their own privacy policies.
How long we keep it
We keep stamp pages for as long as your account or plan is active, and for the lifetime promised by a Forever plan. Originals in our archive vault are kept while your vault plan is active. If you close your account, we delete your pages and personal information within 30 days, except what we must keep for legal, tax or fraud-prevention reasons.
Your choices, and deleting your data
- See or download your data: email us and we'll send you a copy of everything we hold about you, including all photos and files on your pages.
- Correct or delete it: you can edit or delete pages yourself, or email hello@memorystamp.com and ask us to delete your account and data. We'll confirm within 30 days.
- If you signed in with Facebook or Google: you can also remove Memory Stamp's access from your Facebook or Google account settings, then email us to delete the data we hold.
- Marketing emails: every email has an unsubscribe link.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws. Contact us and we'll help.
Children
Memory Stamp is meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Parents and guardians may create pages about their children, and they control who can see them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Security
We use encrypted connections, trusted providers and access controls to protect your information, and we limit who on our team can see it. No system is perfectly secure, so we'll notify you as required by law if a breach affects you.
Changes
If we make important changes to this policy, we'll update the date below and let account holders know by email.
